This website is owned by the Eswatini Standards Authority (SWASA) whose principal business address in the Kingdom of Eswatini is Plot 247 Marbel Construction premises, King Mswati 3rd Avenue 11th Street, Matsapha Industrial Site. SWASA is a company incorporated in the Kingdom of Eswatini through the Standards and Quality Act No. 10, 2003.

Your use of our website is subject to the following terms and, by using our website, you agree to be legally bound by them. This applies whether you register your details with us or not. Please read these terms carefully before using our website. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website.

We may revise these terms from time to time. Please read these legal statements from time to time to review them, since you are legally bound by them. Certain areas of our website may be subject to additional terms, or terms that supersede these ones. You will be informed of this on those pages.

You may use our website without registering your details with us. Certain areas of our website will only be available to you if you register, however.

You are permitted to print and download extracts from our website for your own use,  provided that:

  • you do not modify any documents or their related graphics in any way;
  • you do not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.; and
  • you include an acknowledgement alongside the copied material noting SWASA as the author and publisher.

You expressly agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of this website or connected SWASA websites or content, products or service made available via those sites.  This includes any collection or use of any product listings, descriptions of our products or services, our pricing or any access to, and downloading of details of any third party who may be identified from any of the contents of our website.

You acknowledge that SWASA may terminate or suspend your right to use this website if you breach, or if SWASA has reasonable grounds to suspect that you have breached the provisions of these Terms of Use.

Customer Licence Agreement

Between Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) Standards Authority (SWASA), the national standards body of the Kingdom of Eswatini and the customer. When you order SWASA standards, you accept this Customer Licence Agreement and the Terms and Conditions which should be clearly understood by the customer before finalization of purchase.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Copyright

The standard(s) you order is/are copyrighted by SWASA, as well as international and regional standards organizations from which they are adopted. By signing this agreement you acknowledge and agree to respect the copyright in all the standards you purchase from us.

Except as provided for under this Licence Agreement, you may not lend, lease, reproduce, distribute or otherwise commercially exploit our standards(s). In the case of joint publications (such as ISO/IEC standards), this clause shall apply to the respective joint copyright ownership.

  1. Watermark

Electronic copies of our standards are watermarked with your name and other information that you forwarded to us when you ordered the standard(s).

  1. Single and multiple User Licence

SWASA standards can be bought for personal individual use and cannot be transferred to another user. If you wish to purchase SWASA standard for multiple users (for example, for your colleagues) or want to obtain broader rights beyond your personal use, you must purchase for each user from SWASA.

  1. Electronic copies

You may use the electronic copies of the SWASA standard(s) you’ve purchased on all your personal devices (desktop computer, laptop, tablet, e-reader, smartphone, etc.). Printing is permitted for your personal use only. Sharing or posting the SWASA standards(s) on your company’s intranet is permitted provided the user agrees to the following electronic user conditions:

  • Restrict the number of people having access to the standards through your intranet to ____1___, As agreed between the parties;
  • To pay the user fee as stipulated. The user fee shall be based on the number of users in (a) above;
  • Not to copy, interfere, temper with, alter, amend or modify any part of the electronic standards(s);
  • Not to distribute electronically any part of the standard(s).
  1. Paper copies

If you have ordered a SWASA standard(s) in paper form, you may not photocopy or reproduce it/them in any way.

  1. Termination

Without prejudice to other rights, SWASA may terminate this Licence Agreement with you at any time upon written notice if you fail to comply with the conditions of this Licence Agreement. In the case of termination, you must delete any electronic or paper copies of SWASA publications subject to this Licence Agreement.

  1. Governing law

In the case of any dispute between yourselves and SWASA arising in connection with this Licence Agreement, exclusively Swazi law and relevant international law is applicable.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These legal notices shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Eswatini law. Disputes arising in connection with these legal notices shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Eswatini court.
